Day 10!

Good morning, Lovelies :)

So it’s the start of day 10 and I’m rockin and rollin, down a total of 11.4lbs and 12.5 inches since I started and I’m back in a pair of older jeans, which feels like a mini accomplishment! I do have a wicked headache this morning but it’s sinus related, whomp whoooomp, so I’m not feeling my normal 100%. Other than that though everything is feeling and going great.

Nick and I have some good news that is going to alter my juicing plan…we are officially engaged! He asked this past Sunday and boy oh boy was it difficult to not just break the fast then to celebrate! But I am holding strong with his support. I say it’s going to alter because I will now be doing a 30 day stent followed by a 12 day reprieve and start another 30 days (this will take me up to Oct. 29th). Apparently, I can’t be drinking just juice at our engagement party ;-P I’ll make it work.

Yay, even more motivation so I can fit into that perfect dress I have yet to find haha.

Have a juicy hump day everyone!

I never knew how much I wanted this. When I inevitably teach a lot of high school science courses I must use this gif.

Is this, is this, um, like periodic table of elements porn? What’s happening? Why did we not have this in my chemistry class?

Is there a juicing plan you made yourself? Any tips you could share on the planning of it? or do you have a plan that you found online?

I was inspired by “Fat, Sick, & Nearly Dead.” It’s on Netflix and Amazon streaming :) If you haven’t already, I’d check it out. The one thing I would suggest is to ease your way into a reboot. If you don’t eat the healthiest now, I would start cutting things out and adding one or two juices a day before going to all juice and shocking your body. You’ll also be more likely to stick to your goal. I found some great recipes online and advice about juicing on a bunch of different sites by just googling juicing.

Day 5 check in

Yaaaay, I’ve made it to day 5 without any serious thoughts of quitting :)

I’m down 8 lbs and 7 inches and I feel great! I think the 12 hr shifts and craziness of my prior position made the transition to just juicing difficult. Working 8 hr shifts now and not having to worry about this position disappearing on me, not to mention seeing first hand what fat looks like in the body and how it affects peoples lives, really helps me stay on track. Having incorporated juice and cleaner eating into my diet for the past month or two has also really made it a smoother, less emotional and body shocking, change.

I do need to up my H2O intake some, I’m not always hitting the mark on that one. But I’ll work on it these next 5 days as well as introducing moderate workouts to my schedule. Walking, zumba, maybe a little cycling. We shall see..

I haven’t had any major side affects except for fatigue. I’ve been exhausted by the end of the day. I know this is due to a number of factors, not just juicing. But I do always wake up with tons of energy and can make it through the day.

Alright, back to the grind and then it’s the weekend!

Keep it juicy my friends and have a happy Friday :)

stress

being a grownup is stressful…

today pretty much sucked…I wanted to stress eat so badly, I’ve never realized how bad it was before. I allowed myself some dark chocolate and the day to wallow, but tomorrow, tomorrow is a brand new day and it will be f*cking amazing…because I say so!

I’ve got the juice ready to go in the morning and it will be better :)

20 days of juiciness

Today, it has been twenty days since we introduced juicing into our diet. While we aren’t juice fasting, the majority of my meals weekly are replaced with juice :) Besides the physical changes (which I promise I will get to in a minute!) I have been mentally feeling better, more rested and less mind fog.

Drum-roll please…I have lost 12lbs and 15.5 inches! In 20 days! Yes, I would see a more drastic change if I was strictly juicing…but cmon, it’s still pretty awesome :) I think it’s the inches lost that surprise me the most.

I had my BF hide the scale so that I will no longer be tempted to step on it on random days. I want to break myself of being obsessed with the numbers, rather than every day I want to wait at least 10 ten days to step on it. The point is to feel healthier…my body can tell me that without stepping on a scale to validate it.

Since I was able to sleep in today, I am going to prep some juice now to bring to the matinee of Iron Man 3!

Have a juicy sunday everyone <3
